A Journey Within
My soul was filled with doubt.
Loaded with complex emotions,
I searched for my whereabouts.
Carrying piles of concrete and debris of past,
I traveled across boundaries of relations.
Puzzled with almost everything,
Couldn't find the translations.
Read, heard, applied all theories,
Some worked, some failed.
Life was like a broken ship,
Which somehow sailed.
Battling across shores, I met life,
Simple, gentle and carrying a promise to begin.
Forget curses and mistakes; hold future,
And, search for happiness within.
Nice thought ...beautifully conveyed..!!

ReplyDeleteEverybody endures this journey, but only some find the ultimate happiness.
ReplyDelete"I traveled across boundaries of relations.

Realtions defined as boundaries, yes they sometimes can be stifling. But one can over come them, by just travelling and travelling. The only one who can help in the end is you. Look within. Perfect Saru. The metaphors here are very deep very deep.

"happiness lies within.." warps great optimism and hope around a poem that submits itself beautifully to the present times..
ReplyDeleteloved the poem..
you totally excel at abstract poems..
"Life was like a broken ship, Which somehow sailed." - Its just so hard to sail in a perfect boat. The most you can do is to repair and keep sailing, hoping that the next storm will not cause a major break down or damage.
ReplyDeleteDear Saru,
