Sing a rain song...
Hold me,
Twirl those arms around my waist.
Tap your feet to the symphony,
Kiss me gently on my face.
Our senses will fade a little,
As we'll step into trance.
With lips interlocked,
Heart doing a happy dance.
Coloring me all red,
Heat in the body will flow.
Transporting me to a far off land,
With fine wine and French chateau.
Wait a bit longer,
Let's not rush.
With rain steaming my body,
I can never have enough.
There has to be something first,
Something that never goes wrong.
Rain, kiss, love, passion,
And a rain song.
Wonderful poem Saru. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Kiran :)

DeleteAlthough I'm not a big fan of rain songs because the roads get all clogged up and hence you aren't left with many spaces to embrace your beloved, which I don't have even otherwise. But this eclogue had a perfect rendition and made me enjoy the rains even without being in them. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that, Tushar. :)

DeleteVery romantic poem Saru :) I was singing this song only today in office since morning :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely coincidence. Wait, for whom you were singing this song to?
DeleteUr poem is as sizzling as the Bollywood song i must say. i guess prolly it's my age or else i would've said i like Saawan ke jhoolay paday as my fav or Rhimjhim ghire sawaan but these days when it rains the song that always comes to my mind is that one from the movie Junoon (1978) Ghir aayee kaali ghataa matwaali saawan kee aayee bahaar re saawan kee aayee bahhar re, bela chameli kee kaliyaan mehak gayee, bela chameli....heck i started off. It was sung by Preeti Saagar i suppose . Cheers to monsoon and by saying this i am beckoning it to come and start raining in Delhi...:)
ReplyDeleteBtw the one that Bikram shared is also another one Woh kagaz kee kashti woh baarish ka paani....hahahaha i guess humari umara mein aisa hee hota hai shayad hahahaha :) :) :)
Hahaha... I guess we love songs that were popular in our teenage days. My favorite will look ancient to kids these days. Btw, I love rhimjim ghire sawan.
