Rewind - September 2023
I wrote the following in September. Sometimes, I feel I will forget the art of writing couplets because I am not writing at all this year. I strongly believe you have to practice to hone your craft. And I am not doing that. Perhaps I schedule a time to write a poem. Or I need better time management skills. Date Published 09/05/2023 मुझे उसके जाने का इतना अफ़सोस नहीं हुआ जितना इस बात का कि इतने सालों तक उसे रहने ही क्यों दिया Love, Saru
Wow... nicely penned.

It's so brilliant. Till death and love is naked. It's eternal like naked souls:)
ReplyDeleteSad. When will it end..
ReplyDeleteThis is really sad. In this era also we have thes kind of people :(
ReplyDeleteNicely written.
when will this end? India has got a long way to go. Religion, cultures, traditions are such steep barriers to overcome. So sad that man has reached beyond space and still cant go pass these self made boundaries..
ReplyDelete'Honour killing' in India is condemnable and cruel.
ReplyDeleteVery sad, it continues to happen despite all the so called modernisation. Beautifully written.
ReplyDeletenicely penned down.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad reality !
ReplyDeletewell written!
ReplyDelete'Honour killing' in India is condemnable and cruel but unfortunately it happens specially in your home state and in my state of UP. well written Saru ji and you wrote social words !!
ReplyDeleteIn some places, such cruel acts are dealt with in such shameless and inhumane manner that the deceased do not even get a chance for autopsy. Beautifully expressed Saru.
ReplyDeleteA story of thousand words told in a few! It's so heart rendering, Saru! :(
ReplyDeleteHow do we decide that we can kill someone? Honor Killing is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteHarsh but still true at some places.. :'(
ReplyDelete@Everyone - Thank you so much for reading. :)
ReplyDeleteWish it changes for good and they get to be together without reaching the autopsy table.
ReplyDeleteWe all wish for such days when love is accepted without labels of religion, sex and nationality.
