Bookmarked - The 'Way' and 'Why' I Write
I keep...
Some idle words,
Few hollow lines,
By my bedside.
Half past midnight,
I write some more.
While a few smile at me,
Standing by my door.
Puzzled with this random rush,
I search for meaning within.
I adopt the simple versions,
The ones that touch my skin.
I flip the chapters of my life,
My life looks like an ashtray.
I puffed every bit of it,
But I sing it as a ballet.
I write...I will continue to...
Everyday shaping my endeavor.
With words I'm immortal,
In them...I will live forever and ever.
This is an old poem. Reposting as it reminds me of simpler times. Also, I've been writing daily for over 76 weeks now. I find peace of mind in written words.
love the spirit and keep writing
